I would like to get some feedback on which one you all think is better, the new Audiophile USB, or the old Audiophile soundcard. Is the USB pretty much the same as the card or does it have extra features, less features? Does the USB version have USB 2.0 compatibility? Thanks

Apr 12, 2003 04:45 pm I haven't used teh new Audiophile, but I have used the old audiophile card for doing my midi and stuff. It's a neat little card. I'll have to look up the specs for teh USB card but I'm sure that either of them would be a good coice. What are you trying to do though? do you need midi? multiple ins and outs?

Apr 12, 2003 05:33 pm Im deffinetly going to need midi. Im basicly recording a friends rap goup so im thinkin 2 ins and 2 outs, so i can make an easy mixdown. I think I will need portability so im probably going to go with the USB.

Apr 12, 2003 08:44 pm You should only go with USB devices if you are running a laptop, otherwise there is very little need for portability...

Apr 14, 2003 08:25 pm Nah, I've ripped open a Mac - they have PCI expansion cards just like PC's.
