Yet another uncompleted mix from me. I had the riff for awhile and finally decided to add to it. All instruments are played by me so forgive the slop (as well as the BS at the end, i was just noise making).
Is it worth moving forward and also, what the heck does it remind you of? Named "bee boo" after the guitar tones :)
Is also quite bass heavy, my bad I was in a hurry for work and had no mixy time :)
Under my profile in the not completed section....

Sep 25, 2009 12:56 pm Sounds a little Queens of the Stone Age...I dig it. I vote for finishing it.

Sep 25, 2009 01:05 pm Oh I think you just opened my eyes. The main riff is QOTSA'ish and the bendy note is almost Alice in chains... I think the mix of the two is why it was confusing me.
Thanks Quincysan!

Sep 25, 2009 02:06 pm I think it's very good. Sounds like you just need lyrics, and it'll be ready to print =).

Sep 25, 2009 02:50 pm well, ok, maybe. But the whole contents of the song is there, beginning, middle, verse, chorus, etc. Sounds like all the parts are there, just need to be finished.
Heck, I get parts of ideas, then sit and flounder around with them.

Sep 25, 2009 03:41 pm I understand that, I have been floundering with the main riff for about a year with the band. I always liked it and got fed up with where it was headed, so I went ahead and finished it all by me lonesome :( Hope they aren't butthurt but I was tired of waiting.

Sep 25, 2009 05:29 pm On second listen I've gone from like to love. Man...please don't put those throaty Metallica-esque power vocals on this. I know that kind of thing has a place but this is really a departure from what I've heard you do before and I would love to hear something really Mike Patton in the Dillinger Escape Plan...
Now that I've tromped on your creativity, have a nice day and I can't wait to hear the finished thing, ha!

Sep 25, 2009 08:12 pm Interesting. I say go with it. Not my main type of music, but I found myself humming a vocal melody and some odd lyrics. I think you could build a cool song out of it.

Sep 25, 2009 10:32 pm Sounds like it has potential to me. Of course I'm no expert in the genre at all, still I enjoyed this one a lot.

Sep 26, 2009 12:29 am I vote as well to go with it. There is a tiny hint of something else in there as well. I'm having an issue remember the band name though. But either way, I was diggin it. I vote for finishing it as well. Work it out.
And ya, I still need to get to listening to the finished tracks from your last stuff.

Sep 26, 2009 01:23 am Sounds like a great start Cpt, put some lyrics and melody in there and I think you've got a good one going. :)
Noize, I think the hint of something might be "Heart Shaped Box".

Sep 26, 2009 12:54 pm Throaty metallicaesque vocals :) Haha, which song are you talkin about? I only remember doing that on one song.

Sep 26, 2009 06:38 pm Then that's probably the song I'm thinking of, though I can't exactly place which song it was either. Just ignore me and do something bad*ss, hah.

Oct 02, 2009 01:15 pm I actually do but... I am gonna pitch it to the band at practice today. If they like then it's out of my hands, if they don't then I will proceed forward with it just like the other songs they have turned down. I don't mean that as a negative, I throw alot of weird **** at them, some fits and some does not, all depends on our singer.
