Actually it is quite old but I just found it in my archives and had forgotten all about it. Basically, is it worth re-doing?

It is boomy like all my older mixes and is long winded in parts as I recorded guitars without thinking about vox. Overall I think the idea is solid, I like the guitar/bass riffs, it just needs a little fine tuning and a couple measures trimmed in parts.
Oh yeah, I had a buddy sing because I was drawing a blank. I knew what the title was and he decided it was about vampires, worked pretty well I thought.

I think it's a pretty catchy song. Drums are a bit too active for my taste, but the vocal ideas and guitar ideas do it for me. As for the mix, I know it's rough right now, but the main thing that struck me was I think the vocals could be more in the foreground (remove some reverb if you've added some?)

May 06, 2009 11:28 am Sadly, the hard drive with this and many other projects died so I only have the mixdowns that were in my itunes folder left. If I had the project I would have definitely re-mixed it :(
Might be time to start from scratch on this one, I think it may be worth it.

I agree it has a very catchy feel to it for sure. I am going to have to give it another listen tomorrow a bit louder though for sure. It kinda reminds me of something but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
I liked the guitars though for sure.

I have to redo after listening again, I like the slowdown that goes heavy halfway through, a part I actually wrote while playing a bass distorted through my crate practice amp.
Man, I hadn't heard this song in about 2 years.

May 09, 2009 02:04 pm Cool song Cpt, has a Doors kinda sound going. Mix wise the guitars sounded a little bit too low in the mix, and overall a little bass heavy but it still sounds very good as is.
