OMG, the Chiefs actually claimed victory #2 this week! Oakland out-sucked us in a neck-and-neck suck-a-thon.

Here's a great idea for a game in which you're losing to a division rival. I learned this from Oakland during the game this week:

It's 4th and 10 on your opponent's 30 or 40 yard line. Send in the field goal unit. But instead of having one of the better kickers in the league actually kick a field goal, call a fake and have the holder toss to him. Then make sure that he mishandles the snap, enabling the opposing special teams unit to scoop up the loose ball and score.

Plaxico Burress = Rocket Scientist

On the up side, I am actually impressed with the Vikings this week...quite a good performance on both sides of the ball!

Ya know, I have always liked Plaxico Burress, he is fun to watch play. I never have known about him at all personally, but from what I read and hear now, he sounds like a Randy Moss type of character, I never knew he was such a nightmare for the Giants to deal with.

Plax has been a pain in the *** for as long as he's been a Giant. When Pittsburgh traded him to NYG, he was just a slightly above-average receiver. He really blossomed as a player in the NYG system. But he's been repeatedly fined by the team, fined by the league, suspended by the team, suspended by the league, badmouthed his teammates and his coaches, missed plenty of practice and playing time due to injury, and now this stroke of genius of shooting himself in the leg.

If it had only been the foot instead, it could have been such a perfect metaphor for his career.

If he'd have only shot himself a year ago, the Packers would have gone to last year's Super Bowl!

[Burress singlehandedly beat Green Bay in last year's NFC title game]

Once again, the Vikings get something good cookin, then somebody (in this case two somebody's) do something stupid that will have huge impact on the team.

Way to go Williams', way to go and keep up Viking tradition of [metaphorically] shooting yourselves in the proverbial foot.

Idiots.

They lost the best tandem of defensive tackles in the league to a 4-game suspension for violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

They, among several other players around the league, took a weight loss diuretic that the league considers a potential masking agent.

It looks as though a local judge has issued a restraining order as the paper called it this morning. It is simply to ask for time for him to look deeper into the matter.

If you look at either of them I would not say either of the Vikes guys are doing roids.

neither appear to be taking a diuretic either...the restraining order injunction is stupid, then the four games push them into the playoffs, should they make it, they won't have them in playoff games...yeah, great idea.

Oh, they'll make the playoffs. Who is going to stop them?

Good point Jim. I don't think any of the upcoming games are going to be to terribly tough for them. but then again....
