www.suprememastering.com/ie6/index.html

I have not tried them but am very curious to do so. They offer a free demo (part of a song) you send them, I believe it's done through a web interface. I am leary of web mastering sites but these guys are doing a couple things that take a little pressure off.

I like these aspects of their process...

Unlimited revisions - Don't like the final version, they will redo it again and again.

Different versions at no extra charge (tv, cd, instrumental).

You can send them sub mixes for better mix\mastering control at no extra charge (drum mix, guitars, bass and vox all seperate). I think this would be beneficial as my room is untreated and tough to mix properly in.

I also like that they charge independent artists 25% less than corporations.

8-10 dollars a minute isn't that uncommon for an experienced mastering engineer.

Yeah, $80 per song for someone who knows what they are doing is not bad at all.

It all depends on the end result really. I could put up a website that offers mastering and then just pump everything through ozone for $40 a song, but the end result will show that. I suggest not going through someone unless they have references you trust or offer a demo.

On that note, I believe DB does mastering and has for many years. You still offering mastering services DB?

I'm sure there are plenty of quality sites, I simply posted the one where I know they offer a demo, free revisions etc...

If you do end up finding a good service at a good price, please let us know for future reference.

definitely don't work with someone unless they give you a sample of your own work first... at least that's what I think.

The finished products sound good, but I noticed that all the mixes that they started with all sound good too. Don't know what yours sounds like but if your mixes aren't up to the quality of what is the 'befores' on the site, don't expect them to sound as good as the afters.
