I just had the greatest hamburger ever

Walking thru the skyway, this one place called "The Burger Place" drew me in for some reason, never eaten there before.

I got the Western Burger...burger, cheese, BBQ Sauce, lettuce...seemingly simple burger.

OMG! That was the greatest burger ever in the history of mankind...moist, tender, juicy, BBQ sauce was great...

Oh, man, loved it.

Sorry, just had to share my excitement on a good little find along the Minneapolis skyway system...

I know how you feel... there's a brewery just up the road from me named "DuClaw" that has killer beer and an AMAZING burger called the Arizona Burger. Best I've ever had. A good meat patty can summon angels and cure cancer if ya ask me :)

Ooooo... The hamburgers from the King Kone drive-in in Albany, Oregon, circa 1980.

They had one called the "Sir." Eggs, peppers, cheese, bacon, unknown sauces. An artery-hardening masterpiece. As big as the dinner plate for $3.

Lawdy.

Annie's Parlor on the U of M campus. Kind of a scary walk up this old twisty steel stair case. But one up there you are mesmerized by the smell and the looks of the place. But as you guys described the burgers are like a walk in paradise.

The missus and I were on a cruise ship last year, and amidst all the glamorous and 5-star type food, the walk-up grill had the most divine cheeseburgers.

We actually went back there a few times, just because of the cheeseburgers. They were absolutely fantastic.

The other food, of course was great, as to be expected, but we didn't figure that just basic grill fair would be so fantastic.

We were delightfully surprised.

here's my way. use a chicago hard roll or any hard roll, one that's harder on the outside in other words. bottom bun, do a black pepper/mayo/dijon mustard mixture. more mayo than dijon, but lots of black pepper. then put lots of dill on top of that mixture, as well as chopped onions--mcD style. then throw the meat on there, with melted cheese of your choice. then romaine lettuce. then on the top bun, ketchup.

the dill is really unique on there and makes all the difference!

A burger without dill in some form either pickles or straight up dill is not a burger in my book. Unless of courses its got some odd sauce that won't go with dill.

How about Fuddrucker's? First of all, just saying the name "Fuddrucker's" is hella fun! Second, their burgers kick ***.

Have any of you Twin Cities folks ever been up to the Sunshine Factory in Hew Hope? Home of the best burger I ever had! (And the beer's cold too!)

Ya, Fuddruckers is great. Tuna orders that one pound thing, as does Ray now. And they have the thing gone before I am halfway through a half pounder.

And yes indeed the Sunshine Factory rocks. Not been there in a long time but good stuff.

OH, and speaking of food. Did I mention that they are building a Sonic within walking distance of my house? I can go have 2 double chili cheese dogs and then simply walk it off on the way home.

It might take a few more step than that to work off the calories, lol.
