I was wondering if anyone knew of hardware that can reverse audio. I see that there is software available but I don't use my computer for recording.

Jul 17, 2007 05:09 pm How long of a reversal are you thinking? Like the effect that Hendrix used?? Or do you mean reverse a few minutes?
... a turntable will play audio backwards as well.
Jul 17, 2007 05:15 pm I don't recommend running vinyl records backward unless the turntable and cartridge are specifically designed for it. Most "DJ" machines are not. You can damage your grooves verrry easily.
Jul 17, 2007 05:29 pm most hardware samplers should be able to playback samples backwards....but if you're flippin' a 'whole song' it might not have enough memory.

Jul 17, 2007 05:31 pm something like this:
www.bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/RC-20/
There's a line at the bottom that says reverse playback on the fly.
Boss has a few loop stations, this is the medium one, i think (there's one smaller, and one bigger).
Jul 17, 2007 07:01 pm I was actually thinking of what the Beatles did which I guess is the same as Hendrix.
Jul 17, 2007 07:10 pm I think the RC-20 will work for my application and what do you know? I was planning on getting one anyway and didn't even know about that feature. Thanks so much.
