extending headphones?

what can you buy or do to extend the lenght of the chord on your headphones? almsot all of there chords are 3ft or so, which isnt long enough if i want to do live recordings.... so what do i do? haha simple question, hope it has a simpple answer.

Hit up RadioShack for some extension cables. Stay away from the curly ones IMO. Actually I think they call it Circuit City now, at least here in Canada.

Get the thick cables. The investment is worth it. Those skinny ones can only be yanked or stepped on a few times.

Haha, ya I should make one up.... oh wait a minute...last guy to do that got fragged big time - lol

Speaking of headphone extensions, anyone putting wireless to use? It there such thing as some sort of body pack? I absolutely hate cables and would like to free myself of this "ball and chain" when I'm tracking or jamming.

Yup, I bought two 6ft extenders at my local music shop. They are a tad thicker and have been abused to no end, still kickin though.

melty , you can pick up a an extention over at GC off of willow pass for like 20 bucks i think. I have a few and they work very well.

Yep, Radio Shack has a great bullet proof one that is straight not curly. 25' job as well. I think it was around $10.00 or something I use them here and they have been stomped on and the like and still work great.
