A great performer of soul music has died.He always put so much effort into every song and inspired many.

Dec 26, 2006 10:05 am Well, that kind of energy was also partly chemically enhanced and aside from being a wife beater, he is a musical legend, but, the way it sounds, like many icons, was a kinda scummy person.
An icon in his genre, but not a genre I really even got into personally. Not trying to kick a man when he's down, or offend the great many fans of his...even though it would appear so.

Dec 26, 2006 05:29 pm Yep, I will miss his funk for sure. And he died of something other then chemical abuse which is what I thought he would pass from. But indeed, I have twisted many a JB sample in my day.
