at the moment no, I want to get a bigger collection of avatars, and the ability to use your own pictures as avatars is something I have in the plans, but it isn't currently at the top of the list.

I have two projects on the top of the list:

1- add the ability for members to make comments on the recording articles on this site to provide their own input and ideas.

2- further advance the members personal profile to include links to artciles they have submitted, music they have submidtted and stuff like that...

cool, sounds good! a virtual marketplace to sell members own cds would be cool too...or having a 'song of the month' promoted by the site - it would increase interest in submitting music and give everyone something to aim for with their recording!

I agree. Some sort of "featured song" would be very cool. With maybe some way for members to "rate" it? That would create a little more incentive for people to post their music. There seems to be a lot of members on this site, but not really that many postings in the Member's Music area.

OK, well, I got the two mentioned above done...wow, I got somethin done! COOL!

As far as advancing the members music area or starting any CD selling...well, I am gonna hold off on that to see what NoWhereRadio has in the NWR4 release.

They have featured artists, featured music, ratings, reviews and all that stuff...I would like to tie into his site more to help promote the both of us...

EVERYBODY HERE should go get a NWR website and link up in the personal profile. The next thing added to the memebers music section will be a list off all the members that have those site with links to their NWR website. You can already add your NWR link in your profile...tho only 3 people have, one of which is me and I currently have no music out there...

COME ON peeps, go to MWR and sign up...

As far as my "Featured Song" suggestion. In order to support NWR, I would make it so that in order to be considered for the "Featured Song", you HAVE to have it posted to an NWR account. Then the link would go straight there. That would avoid the songs actually having to be stored on your server, drive traffic to NWR and give listeners the opportunity to download other songs from the same artist. Don't mind me though, I'm always just full of ideas. It's a lot easier for me to suggest them than it is for you to implement them!

Yes but hotlinking to NWR would be somewhat unethical by my standards...he is cool dude and I wouldn't feel right hotlinking and using his bandwidth with no exposure going to him...

I have tons of ideas as well, just in no hurry to do them these days...

That's cool. Obviously, I would expect it to intentionally be a way to get some exposure for NWR. Everything in it's own time I guess. I'll stop pushing you!!
