Okay, I've scoured the manual (it's big...),
I've read every post in the Steinberg forums (oh, I feel like I'm cheating on you dB-Wan!!)
and I can't work out how to separate the individual instruments onto separate tracks for mixing...
Ahhhhh...
Do I have to have a midi track recorded, or can I do it on the fly?

Save me......

BTW: This program ROCKS. For drum-less people like me who have no patience/talent for machines....
Expensive? Yes, but worth it.

you can mute each part and mix down individual drums, though it takes a while, or you can mix in Groove Agent itself. I dont think Cubase is very good at exporting multiple individual tracks all in one go...

I do like Groove Agent though, its awesome

TallChap, GrooveAgent 2 should give you 8 output choices. These can be assigned to seperate tracks or busses. I do the same thing with several of my other drum synths and samplers as well as DrumCore.

I dont know right off if you can do this in your software but in Sonar or P5 I simply creat my 8 tracks or whatever. Then for input source I select whichever output from the synth/sampler or whatever to play on that track. I would assume you should be able to do the same.

There are eight output choices, but I'm having trouble getting them assigned to control individual instruments. Do I need a recorded MIDI track on all the tracks to do it, or can it be done with just GA2 playing.

It's not absolutely essential, but it would be nice. If I just let it do it's thing, and tell it to hit a fill here and there, it's just like having a drummer, but without all the drooling.

(I jest....you know that....cheeez,....drummers....)

Somewhere there has to be a way to assign which output each instrument goes to. All my multiple output synths and drum synths have that ability. I can tohonestly say were it is in GA2 though as I dont have it here.
