Just to let any one who uses a Q10 and wants to extend the cable, I tried a regular DB-25 serial cable I had and it worked!! This is great news for me. Hope anyone who was looking to extend the length of the cable finds this usefull.

yeah i've heard the cable that accually comes with it isn't all that great, and some suggest replacing it with a brand name serial cable....mine still works fine for now. i never thought of connectin' two of 'em together.

neat stuff

Zeke, how do you tell if it's straight through or a crossover cable?

Yep, straight through is a must, do not use a crossover.

And it is a parallel cable not serial. I had one custom made originally for my Delta. It worked splendid. Now I just use the stack one as it is only for spare anymore anyway.

But even my ESI ESP1010 uses a paralell cable, straight through.
