About emma
vocalist, songwriter, aspiring musician and producer. sung professionally for 17 years, but always other peoples words or music. cant do that anymore. my focus is now on expressing mySelf and my music as purely as possible. my work is, obviously, vocal based. i use my vocal flexibility to create sounds most singers arent interested in. i have studied (and continue to study) the polyphonic vocal techniques of the pygmys of central africa, and yet my musical roots are in underground (conscious) hiphop. im currently ensconced in a small town slightly outside a major european city, working on my first solo album with a local hip-hop dj/producer.
