yup. so i'm pretty new to the whole recording thing. i've been in quite a few bands and have been in and out of studios and have a basic idea of whats going on and the lingo and so forth. i've gotten into home recording because i can't find compitent people to play good music with out here and have set forth to record my own music and worry about who can play it later. i've joined this forum to have some questions answered and to learn as much as i can from home about home recording.

My Studio

DRUMS: 5pc Handcrafted Drum Solo Drums by Greg Gaylord Scandinavian Birch Kit. Pearl Powershifter Eliminator Double Pedal w/Axis Sonic Hammer Beaters. Mix Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste Cymbals. PDP Drum Rack.

Guitar: Fender Fat Strat w/Various Pedals and a very strange 8" Amp that sounds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay big for its size.

Recording: Akai DPS16 16 Track Audio Recorder

Mics: open to suggestion but planning on getting an SM57 for the snare and D112 for the kick. i need some recommendations for the toms and overheads.
