My Name Is Chris, I just started doing Home recoring. I am 20 and live in Brighton Michigan. I just Started my self recording stint, I just recently Picked up a bunch of new stuff to play with. A lot of it i dont quite understand yet, but it seems to help.
Lets start with Guitars: Yamaha Pacifica(crappy), Danelectro D2(crappy, but loved), Alverez rd8 dreadnaught(OK, and loved), Fender Stratocaster (mexican made, but i Put texas specials in there), Takamine EAN40C (Love this guitar to the Grave), Gibson SG Standard(Gets the job done, monstrous tone).
Srings : Erniball Super slinky's (electric), Elixers Polyweb(acouster).
Bass Guitar: Erniball Music Man Sterling Four string fretted.
Drums: Pacific CX Series Solid Mahagony Fusion Kit, Iron Cobra Kick Powerglide Kick pedal, Sabian 21 inch AAX Stage Ride, Sabian 18 AAX Dark Crash, Sabian AA El Sabor 16 inch Crash. Zildjian New beat Hi-hats. I use a remo Coated Ambassador On the Snare, Evans Hydrualics on the Toms. and an Aquarian Superkick II on the bass drum.
Amps: Silverton 26 watt bass amp (jacked from sis), Radioshack 20 watt omniamp(first amp... total crap), Danelectro Honeytone(RIP), Marshall MG30dfx(Crappy, but worked untill... i bought-->), Fender Hot Rod DeVille All Tube 60 Watt 4x10 (tone so good it will melt your face).
Pedal Chain: MXR Phase 90, Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer, Boss DD-3 Delay, Digitech WH-1 Whammy, Dunlop Original Crybaby Wah, Boss Tremolo/Pan. (i also have a digitech hotrod distortion but it sucks, as well as a bigmuff pi [the russian one] and a Digitech flanger(its actually pretty cool, but i never use it))
Mics: Oktava Condensor Mics (Used for over heads on drums), Sennheiser E835(Even though they are Vocal Mics, they work great for my snare and Guitar amp). And a Shure Beta52a for the kick.
For my Interfacing I use a Behringer 8 Channel UB1204 Pro, which is connected to an Alesis 3630 Compressor/Limiter Gate which goes back to the mixer, which then runs out into an MBOX which i use with ProTools LE.
My PC: Dell Inspiron 5160 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 HT, 1.25 gb Ram. External Audio Hard drive.
