About Afraid
I've been a musician for a little over 20 years, mostly guitar. My styles I've written and composed range from 80's monster ballads to New Metal of present. My experience with recording comes mostly with home studio, but have also assisted engineering, producing, and mastering 3 released CD's of the Hard Rock to Metal genre.
I wouldn't say I was a pro by regular definition, but would say that I have good experience and many, many, hours recording, engineering and producing.
I currently play guitar with a working 5 piece Metal band along the vein of Shadows Fall, Killswitch, All That Remains. etc. I'm not going to state our name because I want to avoid specific questions and "fan" response for our band, as we are fairly well known. I'd like to focus on what these forums are here for... Recording.
Started recording with mixing boards and ADAT's, and since have moved along to ProTools along with many Cakewalk higher end products. I'm not going to list all the equipment because I have row's and row's of racks with stuff I currently use along with older products that pretty much are collecting dust right now.
