I have been into recording since I was 17 and absolutely love it.
Own a humble, small, studio.
I Stand by Mac (Apple) computers with everything I am because of the fact that they DONT get viruses, and because OSX is more stable than Micro$0ft anyday. Plus I get so much more with my macs than a PC right out of the box. It is called "seamless integration" Mac makes the software, mac makes the computer, does not have to have a million drivers to run every single item that is already in it, like the already built in Firewire 400 or 800. Read up on how a computer works before you start acting like you know that a pc is better, as Gates himself said to Steve Jobs, "Yes (apple) make(s) better products by far, but that does not matter, all that matters is distribution."
Dont use the excuse that they cost too much, if you watch how much you spend on virus protection and all that you would see that you spend more on a PC than you would on a mac, and NO you cant build a PC that will do as much as a mac or run just as good, just as you CANT get the same sound out of a home or project studio as the pros, all because they are two different games, I have worked both in each catagory.
