Just came upon this tuner today I've been wanting a rackmountable tuner for my studio for a while but didnt feel like paying the $180 that the Korg one costs. This might be just what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience with it or heard anything about it? Thanks

Dont know why it wouldnt be good. Not sure how it compares to the Korg though as the Korg is based on a strobe tuner. That is part of the cost of the unit. I personally use the tuner in my POD Xt and it works great.

I'm back bitches!!!

Hey Noize, how do you get to the tuner in the POD XT?

I found a free VST called "C-Tuner" - can't for the life of me remember where I found it. It is an old fashioned drum dial type, with a floating needle. Very sensitive, and really works very well. I load it as a VST onto my guitar/bass tracks, then disable it when I've tuned.
It's very good for checking intonation too, owing to it's sensitivity. Not up to the level of the old strobe tuners, but workable.
I think I'd only get a rack tuner if I were gigging again, they're handy when you have to look across stage.

Ya, I actually love the tuner in the POD. And yep, push the button on the right above the window that says TUNER.

But the tuner in the Line 6 Tone Port UX-1 seems to be even better for some reason. Way more accurate. Maybe that is just me though.

I don't see an accuracy difference at all in the UX2, but it is handy to have there...now that I think about it, maybe I'll compare the two this weekend...

It was a lot touchier then the regular one on the POD. I think it is the fact it is a direct needle on a meter, like an old school tuner that gives it a more accurate feel. On the POD it is just that floating diamond and a rather large target box that has a lot of room in it to be a tiny bit sharp or flat. The meter in the TonePort is dead on when the needle is right on the money.

The POD tuner seems to float a little more as well. Not as steady as the meter in the TonePort. At least it seems that way to me.
