Ok check this out I was surfing around looking at recording info and I came across this sit www.audioinstitute.com/audio_engineering.htm . I'm not sure if it bogus , but it clames to give you 5 volume sound engineering degree , through corispondence . If this is a real deal i appologize but check it out and click on the people thank the corse , most of them are from other countrys , which is cool , and the rest look like Joey Romone.

Sounds too good to be true to me...it reads OK and sounds good, but how is any audio school gonna give you a degree that is worth anything by not listening to your work and seeing you work and knowing your thought process...just doesn't seem right.

There are a lot of degrees on the 'net, not many of them are actually worth the paper they are printed on...

There are many course's out there, either advertised in mag's or on the net. Some are more informative then other's. But as dB said, it is hard to believe that without the close contact of a class room, any school can judge your work to be of quality. I guess it boils down to if the course offer's the correct information and tool's to get the job done, then at least it is a good starting point for an individual to get out there and get some hnd's on experiance. And this course look's good from what I saw on the outside, but you can never know whats on the inside untill you cough up the doe. And then hopefully if it suck's, you can get your money back. But don't count on it!

thanks for the imput , I've just found that a lot of people ask you if you have a peice of paper saying you've been schooled , and it doesn't matter how well some prodjcts have come out they want to know that you are a "pro" , but how are you going to be any good if you don't have the experiance , who cares about a dacument anyway.
