Getting Started

Hi, I'm a saxophonist from sydney australia hoping to get started with a basic home setup on my laptop.

Soon I'll be buying an Mbox running Protools LE on my iBook G4, and what I really need to know is what kind of microphones I'll be needing for general acoustic setup?

I'm hoping to be recording my saxophones directly into the system for editing and sampling, as well as recording live chamber music remotely.

Any ideas?? Prices? I'm on a low budget but I'm after reasonably good quality.
