I have a Boss dr-3 drum machine and I am trying to figure out how to make it work with sonar 4. I am pretty new with midi and still have a lot to learn. I would like to be able to run the midi out from sonar to my drum machine so that I can do all of my writing and synchronizing from my computer, but I can't quite figure out how to set all of the settings. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am using a yamaha ux16 usb to midi connector to hook the drum machine up

Aug 14, 2005 05:35 pm which settings you having trouble with?
Aug 17, 2005 11:53 am well, basically, not sure, I mean my keyboard was pretty self explanatory when I set it up, just set the midi in and out correctly. I figured I shouldn't have any problems setting my drum machine up basically the same way, using the midi out that the drum machine is hooked up to, my drum machine only has midi in, and I figured if a person can operate it with a keyboard like it says in the manual, there should be no problems using a sequencer. But when I have tried doing anything I get no sound. I have my sync set to auto and my drum midi channel set to 10 on my drum machine
