1 kb is 100 bytes? or 1000?
1 meg is how many kb?

Jun 14, 2005 10:02 am ok... I will simplify, in an attempt to get a quicker answer.
If you are hosting pics that are 100K each... how many pictures would make 1 MB? (im thinking, 10)

Jun 14, 2005 10:07 am K stands for kilo, which is 1000. So 1 kilobyte is 1000 bytes (actually 1024 bytes in computer speak, but 1000 is close enough).
So 100 kilobytes is 100,000 bytes.
1 megabyte is 1 million bytes, or 1 thousand kilobytes.
