Delta44 - top card.

I use it - 4ins and 4outs..you'll need preamps tho or a mixer with 4 outs.

Yeah, the Delta 44 would be a good recommendation...an ESI WaveTerminal would be a groovy unit as well as a Lexicon Omega...which I think has 4 inputs...but I may be wrong.

IF your recording 4 mics, you'll need a pre with 2 channels to add to the 802...

I use the M-Audio "Audio Buddy" - it has 2 channels, with phantom power, no colour of the sound and its good value...about £89 new or cheaper on ebay.

There may be cheaper but I love mine..handy as hell for sure.

I dont think the 44 has MIDI, so if that is something you will want down the track you might consider the 1010.

Correct..the Delta44 has no midi.

I would suggest tho, that the price v what you need factor may allow you to get the 44 for now and get a seperate midi interface further down the line if need be.

The 10/10 is also a darn good card but tis way more expensive (tho it does have 10 ins/outs) but unless you NEED that, I'd get a seperate midi interface later.

I have the 44, with an Audio Buddy PRE and an M-Audio Midisport (cost me £35) which is nowt really - that gives me 1 midi in/out - ideal for what I need.

Coco.
