Apr 01, 2005 01:13 am hmmmm, cheers bleak, i mangaed to get one synth going, but how do apply the synth to the midi channel? so i can actually hear it........
Also is there any way of rigging a synth so when i hit a midi note, the synth on the comp triggers?
Apr 01, 2005 11:59 am ok with midi synths you need two seperate channels....think like cables, you need a "cable" to go from your keyboard (midi data) into an audio device (soft synth) then you need an output "cable" from the audio device into your recorder (cubase). so in cubace you hafta have two "tracks" for a soft synth, one audio and one midi....ummm atleast in Sonar.
peace

Apr 07, 2005 12:58 pm ummm i dont' think you need any new cables to get a vst instrument to work, i was speaking figuratively (sp)
