KRK Rokit 5

I got my income tax refund in and I decided to put some of it to a set of monitors. So I bought a set of the KRK Rokit 5's and I'm pleased to report that this was a good buy. They sound geat and even without enough time to really get to know them I could already hear things that needed to be tweaked. I spent a bit of time just listening to some of my favorite CD's through them and was amazed at some of the little things that I missed while listening on my home stereo system. Anyhow, I just wanted to give my thumbs up to them and tell anyone who might be in the market for a set of powered monitors in the $300 range to give them a listen.

i've got a friend with a pair of these, and i hafta admit, them little boogers pack alot more punch then i was expecting...them 5" 'woffers' can get nice fat (flat) lows down to about 60hz easy (rough estimate)...it defy's physics!
good monitors that won't set ya back 2 weeks pay.

peace

I tried out three pairs of monitors recently and Rokit 5 was one of them. I liked them but wasn't doing much for me in the mid-range area. It does sound good and for the money you can't beat it.
I settled for pair of V4. I think its more tighter and has much better low end punch :)
give it a trial run if you can.
