Audiophile 24/96 and SONAR problem

Hi folks!!
I want to record guitars from the Digitech RP2000's SPDIF out to the Audiophile 24/96's SPDIF in (monitoring pre-recorded channels) but when I play/record the project, the song's tempo and pitch get down.
Is the Audiophile's SPDIF designed only to receive a DAT's signal?? could it be a SB live interference with the audiophile?? I´ll really apreciate your help.

do you have the same bit-rate and sample rate set on the audiophile that you are shiping out of the RP2000? CHeck and see what the RP2000 creates (44.1/16 bit I am guessing, or something close to that) and then make sure the S/PDIF recording properties in SONAR are set the same. Having them different will effect the tempo and pitch...

I think I have the same bit-rate and sample rate on both devices (24/44.1). I don't know if the tracks recorded previously wich are some fruity loops drums secuences (16/44.1) are afecting and if so, what should I do since fruity loops can't export audio at 24/44.1??

then would record your RP2000 parts in WaveLab, Sound Forge, or even Sonar as a different project and then convert them to the 16/44.1 format, THEN import them into your song.

The RP should be able to be set for 16 bit out, as well as the AudioPhile should be able to be set for 16 bit input. Check your manual to see. Otherwise, after you record the track, export to wavelab or soundforge, like dB said and convert it to 16 bit and then bring it back into Sonar.

Thanks a lot for your help!!
after trying what you adviced (with succes) I exported the secuence in fruity to SONAR an then converted it to 24 bits (wich gave me excellent results) to take advantage of the audiophile 24 bits capabilities and record the rest of the tracks in the 24 bits domain.
Question: What do you think about recording some instruments digitally?? I mean, what are the advantages of doing so?? headroom?? resolution??
Well I hope this helps somebody with a similar problem.
