recording a slow folky style song, used Fostex X15 to lay down acoustic guitar arpegios on one track(Takamime steel string acoustic miked with Shure PG57), and Yamaha keyboard for drums, bass and fill on another track, now have Boss BR1180CD, want to transfer tracks to it and then record the voice (using Shure PG 57,harmony and string fillers in digital. Need help here please, should I send the tracks as stereo, or individual to the Boss,,should I put on effects as I record, any suggestions for equalizing, compression,,reverb, echo??etc,I am totally new to this and have started to read some of the general articles on home recording,,any help would be appreciated

really, i'd just retrack on the boss, the whole point of digital is the super low noize floor, if you send a tape track, it's gonna sound like a tape....so i'd consider starting from the ground up on your new Boss....

just my 2 cents

I agree that I'll probably have to start from scratch,,but did wonder if i did just transfer the tracks from my tape to digital,,and then record her voice on the digital, will it sound strange or should I also record her voice on tape and transfer the whole shooting match over to the Boss digital and master it there,,
