Is there any way to change my S/PDIF ins/outs, to 1/4 inch ins/outs or at least something that I will actually use?

Feb 02, 2005 09:45 pm with a D/A convertor of some sort, ya. SUch as a dual preamp with digital out, run those outs tothe digital ins of the card.
Feb 02, 2005 09:49 pm hmmmm, come again?
If youve got the time, could you post me a link of what your talking about dB?
Cheers
Feb 02, 2005 09:51 pm can't right now, don't have a great example right off the top of my head, but essentially any preamp or processoring device that can take analog inputs and has an optional digital output.
There are a few that have ADAT outs, can't find any with S/PDIF outs, but I know they are out there.
Feb 02, 2005 09:54 pm Thanks for trying dB.
So how much do you think I should be spending on one of these contraptions?
And is the S/PDIF signal balanced?
Feb 02, 2005 10:10 pm Thats perfect dB, pitty i cant purchase through MF though.
So are the outs on the preamp only digital, or does it have ballanced outs to?
And what kind of ins does it have?
Sorry to ask the questions, but i cant download the manual......
