Has any one ever experienced any cross talk between cables in their home studios? If so what does it sound like, and what are the main things to avoid?

Jan 27, 2005 08:52 am I doubt it would be an issue, due to the low voltage involved, but, if cables need to be by each other, cross them at right angles whenever possible. Also, don't have signal cable running near power cables, or speaker cables.
I run most of my power cables along the floor, then I try to hang signal cables along the wall, or along the back of my mixing desk. This way they aren't near each other, or if they are, then only for a very small spot, and at an intersecting angle.
Jan 27, 2005 08:55 am I agree.
It is damn near impossible to not have cables running parallel, so, if you do, have only signal cables running by each other, not mixed in with power cables. One of the best things you can do, that is possible, is keeping power and signal and speaker cables separated as much as possible.
