guys i was curious if anyone had used a Rocktron effects pedal. i found one that sounded on the net like it had a good overdrive which is what im after. just mild distortion or overdrive sound, and keeping as full as possible. alot of pedals like this seem to cut out too much low end making a sound like a wall of noise or actually like tearing metal to me ha. anyway, i was curious if anyone had used this pedal. i think its name is austin gold overdrive by rocktron.

Harmony central is always a good place to start researching user opinion on various pieces of gear. Here's their user reviews on it:

Looks like most people use it for country crunch, and classic rock.

Tad your spot on. It was designed for that particular sound. A nice easy overdrive with wome warm low end. I havent used that pedal but have owned other Rocktron gear and they build pretty solid stuff. If that is the sound you are going for then that is a good pedal for it. Nice tone with some nice mellow gain.
