Pipes in Studio

Help I'm stuck in Utah!!!!!!!!!
Member Since: Dec 10, 2002

I have just moved into a new house, and the room has alot of pipes in it. The room is in the basement the walls are all concrete with no cover on them so far. The pipes are water, heat, and who knows what else. I was in there setting up last night, someone was upstairs taking a shower and I could hear water falling through the pipe. How much problem will this cause on the recording process and will normal soundproofing foam fix this?

I don't think it would totally fix it, but it surely would help. Your best plan is to try to shield the mic from it, or choose the times of day you record more strategically.
