I'll be honest, I fail to see why I should even give opinions or speak my mind or even run this ****** site any more...

::sigh::

Probably because 10,000 posts that are not demanding your intervention are being conducted and folks are learning and growing. Obviously the few that are in square one (urgent and important) are a real pain!

yeah, like everything else in life, the few wreck everything for the many.

Ya, I'm definately reviewing my approach. I landed myself square in the middle of two of them in a short time. Not where I want to be, and nobody but me did it. See, we all learn!

yeah, you have been under fire a couple times, and honestly speaking, that has pissed me off more than anything else the last few days...you can **** with me, but don't **** with walt...

actually, don't **** with me either...I'm sick of some peoples smart *** ****** attitudes lately trying to tellme how to run my ****** site and come in and demand attention and get questions answered right ****** now...what the **** is that? HRC is a FREE ****** service frequented by generous people willing to share their time and learning experiences for nothing other than building a good network and community of people to help further everyone...and people think that's not enough...

it's maddening.

Did I miss something??? or WTF

Ok my turn

Look...I don't bank on this place much when it comes to actual studio applications, we all run things the way we want to...HAR-BAL and the web design are the only ones...and even those two were primarily driven by actual experience with the HAR-BAL 8 bit demo and for the web was more in slight for advertising...I can't say, I have taken very much from here 'info-wise' and applied it to my setup...

I just like to hear input...and mix up a lil banter, simple as that. Some cats jump on here for a lifesaver. Or a full out answer to solve problems...I like posting (what is mostly taken) to be simple/stupid sh** on here becuase that's what I do...

I am an appreciative and opinionated person. I find alot of nice people on here, and this is the only forum I sit on, for I am not a 'forum' type when it comes to the web. But if it's like that, I can save the sighs and continue to just be an observer...

sorry Jason, none of my rant was directed at you, I'm just really pissed off right now.

Honestly, I'd trust the mixer by branding, but I have never personally used one, and have little intention of going to a digital mixer any time soon.

If I had a valid opinion, I'd share it, but I don't. Sorry. Also sorry you don't take much from here, that's kinda disappointing.

presley I did read those prior to my post and like I said...I like input...so I threw it up there...

it has nothing to do with being gun-shy...

alot of my posts have been about products because I need to grow...but I don't know where to start...in the end...I deal with all my problems, spending decisions, and internal conflicts...I don't expect HRC to be my remedy...

I appreciate any input I don't rely on it...

Well, I do appreciate the relationship we have built, but quite honestly I asked for it to a degree. Sometimes I get to "needling" and then don't like the results of the "itching powder" I planted in the diaper so to speak. (that's the male version).

As far as the post game critisizm and stock boys who know more than the CEO, that's just some wiring that is not up to code.

dB I like you and 99% of the others on here...I love being here...and as I said I don't like forums...but the way this one is run makes me feel at home...its clean and (not to sound "swishy") cozy.

I know I go off sometimes and ask about lame sh** but when it comes down to it...its still about maximizing the gear you have...the gear I have is not impressive but I make it impressive VIA sound...(or atleast I hope)

my last rant was more for the record that I am separating myself who just seeks the slightest of input from those who BANK on HRC to SOLVE their lack of info instead of seeking out solutions from various sources...

And dB I get the same way at times...but with the loss of tone of voice in these situations I feel sometimes I annoy people.

hehehe, well, I dunno who, you certainly don't annoy me, I think Walt and I just sought refuge in your thread from the hazards of the outside web site :-)

Thanks for the temporary shelter.

Hey I am all for it...but you can see how I would think my simple little inquiry brought on this kept in frustration...I'm sitting at my desk going "Christ!"

I just want you all to know that I have probably come across 10-15 probs/situations in my studio which I have never noted on here, when Ic ould have...but I work that sh** out myself...you all have more gear experience than I do so most of my questions as of recent are about gear and connectivities...

hehehe, yeah, I can picture you sitting back just going "WTF is all this!".

Well, rest assured, it ain't from you, you were just an unwitting victim of our frustrations, my apologies...

Well to end all this I am leaning towards getting it...I don't put stuff on a CC....it comes out of my check...I think it would be a nice upgrade...but I need to have my confidence up to drop $600 on something...

My xmas bonus was half the price for that unit on MF and I got the $50 GC still sitting there too plus whatever MF GC I get for Xmas...

Gotta give you kudos on that CC stance, too many people I know spend themselves into the poorhouse on this stuff, thats a line I have too, though, admittedly, I am at a point now where I have a set up I am happy with and don't buy much any more. That said, my wife and I LIVE off our CC's, but, the big difference is we pay it off completely at the end of each month. That way, we get the cash back bonuses they give and get minimal (sometimes NO) extra money from us at all cuz it's payed off before interest racks up at all.

That said;

Why would a digital mixer make a good addition for you? What mixer do you have now? Do you consider it better only because it's digital, or are there other features you want on it?

Just curious...

Lol at dB and walt. hope everything works out..

as of a digital mixer, personally i wouldnt take the step. Thats really nothing that major, I'd prolly build on the setup i had.. i would suggest that, cuz I know u have a decent setup..if anything, its about mor channels or just feeling professional, try the Eurodesk mx2442a.

but i would take that step to the digital world yet...

make sense?

Jesus Christ Guys! Oh man... I'm so glad I wasn't jason for that. If I thought dB was pissed at me I'd probably cry like a little girl. I can see it now "Loki, you're not doing you're job around here blah blah blah" lol.

Anywhoo... Everyone alright now?

as far as that mixer goes: Never used it but I have used a few berrys and they're good for the money IMO. If I had the cash I'd pick up one of those just to have a digital mixer... but not having used on I can't really comment. Anyway you can go check one out at a store before commiting to the purchase?

Yeah I don't owe on any of my equipment...but your process on the CC is proper...

I like Behringer and my current mixer a Behringer 1604A (16 CH) is just fine but I don't really know where to start my upgrade...I like the features it has and the ability to go digitally...but I am looking for more options to enhance productivity...

As you may know I am starting to to a lil business with this label...the guy I mastered that CD for wants to record thru me so I am in this state of mind that I should acquire some beefier gear...

To be honest...I am confused on what to do but like all things it will work itself out

lol @ Loki...well its like when someone is yelling at you and you're unsure why or even if they are...so in those situations I would start looking over my shoulder...like "are you directing that at me?"....thats why I was like "Christ!"...

anyhow...I am glad he got it out, just before the holidays
