Dec 17, 2004 01:40 pm sorry to bring up such old software but its what I have now..sorry, thank tho..
Dec 17, 2004 01:42 pm nothing wrong with using old software if it does the job for ya, but if it supports DirectX or VST plugs there is a lot of freebies out there...

Dec 17, 2004 02:17 pm Nothing wrong with using old anything and CEP is solid...like dB said..."if it does the job for ya"

Dec 17, 2004 03:26 pm VST isnt that like virtual instruments or whatever?
but on the direct plugins, should i search google for free plug ins? Cuz on the sites above I didnt see plug ins for CEP
Dec 17, 2004 03:30 pm They ALL are, but only some are free.
www.directxfiles.com are ALL DirectX standard plugin, they will work in CEP.
VST is just a third party coding standard. VST is for effect plugins VSTi are virtual instrument, DirectX is effect plugins, DXi are virtual instruments in the DirectX standard.

Dec 21, 2004 10:31 pm Also, look for the free VST wrapper. You can use one VST at a time with it. There's some really good VST's at digitalfishphones.com. Also, CamelPhatfree and Big Tick Hexaline are free VST's worth looking into.
Izotope has a great free plugin called Vinyl that turns your track into a scratchy record player sound. Look for PSP Pianoverb. Analog X has a vocal remover and a decent noise gate. These are all DirectX.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
