Waves Diamond plugins

My engineer buddy gave me a copy of the waves diamond plugins and a gangload of vst's. There so much stuff i dont know where to begin..What makes the compressors in waves better than the factory stuff...and all the other stuffs. I still need to get that FX VST to RTAS adapter software so i can use all this other free stuff..Also, where do i find this adapter...does anybody have this, and how does it work???

You're not really gonna get people falling all over themselves to help you when openly admitting you have an illegal copy of software most of us have paid money for...

VERY against the rules of the forum.

my bad DB....How do you know if the copy is illegal? It doesnt lookin like its bootleg. I just thought it was very praiseworthy that the my buddy would allow me to have a few of his plug ins. I didnt know that that was against the forum rules. We switch stuff up...I gave him a bunch of my drums from the MPC, which ive been collecting for years now..He was happy and i was happy. Well, i didnt know that was illegal and i appologize if i have offended anybody.

Because your friend gave it to you...you didn't buy it. It's licensed to your friend, NOT you, and he is not allowed to give it away or sell it to anyone else.

It's not praiseworthy, it's criminal that your friends gave them to you. It's called piracy. Real the license agreement with the program...it's his and his only.
