Nov 05, 2004 03:52 pm I would say that n-track ( www.fasoft.com ) has a good set-up for a small amount of $$$. I think it's around $30 or $40 and has many of the features that come with higher costing programs. A good place to start as any. Although, the multitrack studio seems better to "check it out" for free and make decisions from there as for what else you might need/want in this sort of software. Kirk
Nov 05, 2004 03:58 pm Standard version is $49, 24-bit version is $75.
I got a copy from FA Soft once for review, it is a pretty cool app, but I did bump in to some pretty nasty bugs that the dude never got back tome on. If those bugs don't affect everyone, then, ya, it is a cool app, but for me it had some issues.

Feb 20, 2006 11:06 am I'm pretty new to the game, so take this with a grain of salt, but i've been using Kristal Audio Engine for a few months now and have been loving it.

Feb 20, 2006 02:15 pm I've been using Kristal aswell since mid 2004, it's basic but for me it's great. And it's suppose to be the best freeware recording program on the net.
