Cubase SX 2.0 installation problem

ok i installed the program on my comp, and whenever i click on the icon it says this
'Application 'Cubase SX 2.0' has caused the following error:

No protection device connected.


Options:
- For troubleshooting information click <Help>.
- Connect a valid protection device and click <Retry>.
- Click <Cancel> to abort.

can anybody help me?

Ya, go buy the program legally, you do not have the dongle installed, the "dongle" is a piracy protection device that works into your parallel port or USB port or something...then the app won't start without it.

HRC stands firmly against piracy of any kind.

What's "gay" is trying to steal something, pony up the money and buy it, people worked real hard on making this great software, they deserve the payback.

Oh, and I am calm, just letting you know the HRC stance on the subject before the topic gets off course. :)

Well, he may very well have the $800 version, but that only comes with one dongle, and that dongle is on his PC, so that is why yours isn't working. Thats how they prevent piracy.

Wise decision if I do say so myself. Plus, Adobe Audition is something many people here use and really like.

Mr. Masters,

I know this isn't the best way to go about it but I need your help. Will you check out my last post on the "Help, No sound with Delta 44" thread. I am getting pretty frustrated. THe wife is about to take the computer away from me. :)
