i have some beats i made about a year ago which have a low humm...all the way through every beat. Its unnoticable on small stereos, but on high quality systems you can hear it well...specially with the bass up...I recorded these tracks from Roland XP-60 and Motif 6 into a tascam cd professional cd burner..Is it the cables..I hear alot of talk about balanced and unbalanced cables..which is the best, and is that where the humm is comin from? Also, i downloaded Izotope vinyle thingy for protools le..i hear it will remove low frequency hummmz...How do i keep away from the hummmmmmmm??????

balanced cables are best if you have balanced gear

Also:

- make sure your cables run parallel with other signal cables
- don't run them laying next to power cables
- make sure you have a good electrical ground in your building electrical system
- maybe even get a power conditioner.
