Mixer and compressor...

I just bought a compressor and had a quick question on how to hook up. I'm going to use it pretty much for vocals only. Do I hook it up to the "INS" of my Mic mixer channel or do I hook the Main outs of the mixer to the compressor?

With a compressor, I think you would want to compress the whole signal, so I would use a insert cable, and plug it in to the insert jack.
Your main outs would work fine as well.

It doesn't arrive here for a few days, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Thank you.

if its just for a channel or two. just interupt the signal with the inserts rather than worrying about the the main mix. just my opinion
