Hey guys,
I am trying to get Sonar to give me a metronome, but I am not hearing anything. I have gone into options/projects and I think that I have all the right settings, but it is not doing anything. Anybody have any advice?

Oct 10, 2002 10:36 am Hi groovemouse,
can you tell us what soundcard do you own??
Because if your soundcard doesn´t have midi onboard (like the audiophile 24/96) you won't be able to hear the metronome. However, if you have a soundcard with midi sounds, you should select the midi port in the midi options and that should do the trick.
Good luck

Oct 10, 2002 11:16 am it's a midi click ... you card might not have midi...
Oct 10, 2002 02:09 pm I had this same problem when I switched to an M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard from a normal Turtle Beach card. It drove me insane. Why does everybody put so much focus on MIDI and then not allow you to use it with a good card anyway? Anyway, what I do is I rerout the output of my Turtle beach card to my outboard mixer input and then into my M-Audio card and I just push record and create an audio track of the click (Which will correspond to the measures displayed in the program). Then I just play it back while tracking over it. Just make sure you don't leave the click volume up on the outboard mixer or else you'll get the click on your actual audio recordings. Not a pleasant mistake to make :-)

Feb 26, 2007 07:33 am Sonar 4: Why does the metronome noise get recorded along with my singing voice? Why can't I listen to the music I've made through headphones and then sing along to it without it all being added to my vocal track? Please help!

Mar 02, 2007 08:16 pm Isn't this the equivelant of a five-year-old double-post ? I think the same clarifying questions were asked with the 'other' post as well .
Zxen, the answer may lie within your routing . Help us help you .
