I mixed the music for my friends band down in sonar 3. Exported as a RIFF .wav file. I edited them a little in wavelabs and tried to write the CD directly from that-said it didnt notice my CDR. So i went out and bought a new CDR. external USB one. Tried it it wavelabs no go. even tried with the crappy burning software they gave me with the burner-NO GO. it keeps reading errors and stuff. I have no clue what im doing wrong and im about to cry my eyes out. I need to burn these songs. thanks in advance for your help guys !!

Regarding Wavelab, buying a new burner may have only made the issue worse. If the bruner is newer than your version of WaveLab it may not have the drivers that support that burner (since the burner didn't exist at the time of WaveLab's release). I have had this happen a couple times. What you can do is go to steinberg.net and download the newer driver package to update WaveLab so it will likely support your burner.

As far as your bundled burning software, who knows...

Well, as a mastering engineer myself, of course I would say yes and I would suggest you send them to me...but the indie artists in me says no way, do it yourself.
