nasty latency - ouch

This weekend got together with the band in process of formation. I found some great musicians to complement my composing skills. Anyway, we started going, but after a few tracks we started getting some bad latency problems. I thought that I had copmpletely lost the ability to sing in time after 10 years of chorus! What can I do to limit latency? It is a painful thing.

Tascams' web site does not say your audio device is USB2 compatible, which will contribute to some latency. You also are not saying what driver type you are using, ASIO would work best. You don't say how many tracks you were recording at any one tyime, how much ram your system has and other info like that.
