Good Recording Software?

I am using "Cakewalk: Guitar Tracks Pro" and "FL Studio". It is ok if I make the drums on FL first then write guitar for it, but if I have a guitar part and try to come up with drums to go with it, it ends up being a pain and doesn't really sound very good. So my question is: is there any other software that is better for recording with or for making drum loops?

Well, it's a conundrum, really. Guitar Pro is a great app, I am current writing a review of version 3 for the web site. The only real downside of that app is it's lack of MIDI support. So, without MIDI support FL is about your best bet. If you have MIDI you can use a plethora of VSTi or DXi instruments such as Project5 or many others.

The logical alternative, that won't cost more money, that I would suggest is, when you have only a guitar part, record it to a click track, or a very simply drum beat so you can at least make sure you are in time, if you have the BPM count solid, then you can back to fruity and make your drum track at any time you want.
