man.. i havent posted on this site for a million years... sorry! just busy and all. anyhow.. i just got sonar, logic platinum, cool edit pro 3.0. totally clueless on all of em... i need a new soundcard, i want the cheapest one possible and i need at least 4 tracks, any suggestions? and also.. can i use a Boss GT-5 effect rack as a makeshift interface between my mixer adn computer? thanx guys, this site still rox

They all dot he same thing, you only need one of those. Personally I prefer Sonar, I hate logic, plus they dropped any further development for Windows since Apple bought it. Also, Cool Edit is now owned by Adobe and it's called "Audition".
M-Audio Delta 44 is a great 4 in/4 out sound card.
The boss should be easy to plug in between the mixer outs and the sound card ins if that is what you are looking for...though running it thru an aux send/return is the preferred way to go.

Mar 05, 2004 11:55 am thanx for the advice, yeah, i know they all the do same thing.. but i thought it cant hurt to have em all incase u know. cool edit kind of helps wiht mastering... anyhow.. in terms of teh GT5 pedal, i was wondering if it helps in teh interface u know, since i dont have a DI or anything, does it make the signal any better?
