For my studio i use the aardvark. 8 channels at a time. i want to use other preamps but i dont know if it will mess up my interface. Im talking like an avalon, or something like that. im looking to upgrade

Jan 21, 2004 09:27 pm It should not mess it up. I dont think you can bypass the pre amps on the Q 10 but you should be able to run them lightly. And if you do run an Avalon as a Pre, you will run it in front of the Q10 anyway. I run a pre in front of the pres on my desk and havent ever had a bad thing happen yet.

Jan 22, 2004 02:48 pm I asked Aardvark about that once when I was thinking about buying a Q10. They told me to just turn down the pre all the way in the software mixer and that would, in effect, bypass it.
