alright after connecting my phonics mixer up I set up the effects loop as I usually do, same way I did on my yamaha board, but now when I run the efeects loop the result is distortion, which is odd because nothing in my racks hould be making distortion, all that's in there is reverb, a sampler, and a compressor... anyone know what could be causing the unwanted distortion?

Nov 24, 2003 05:46 am Have you checked the cables? Is it distortion, as in the pretty dirty rock sound, or is it static, as in the unpleasant yukey sound? A cable may be creating it, or perhaps you gain staging is wrong and clipping somewhere in the chain...

Nov 24, 2003 07:10 am it's like i'm running the signal through a distortion stomp box. I found nothing wrong witht he cable, and it is a snake

Nov 24, 2003 09:47 pm Does your new board have different or selectable insert volume specifications? Could you be overdriving the new board?
