Is this bad for my cassette deck's heads???

I have many cassettes from Maxell and TDK and i was told by someone that using tape from different brands will damage my heads,he said to pick one brand and use only that brand.I told him he's crazy,is he crazy or is there some truth to this??Thanks for any info or insight you can give me..Peace,Keith H.

I would definately doubt that would be harmful. Does it say anything like that in the deck's manual? Usually the manual will advise you of any necessary precautions... Including those that you don't really need to worry about. So if it's not in THERE, I don't think it is an issue at all.
