160bpm. feels hard. dark and evil. I like the panning of the bass drums. not sure i like the swirley phasey sound in the hats. maybe just it's such a familiar sound to me. what's the little error at 1:40? or was it intended?

glad to see you're enjoying Fruity. Look thru the help files and learn everything you can. And ask me if you have any questions about it.

dunno where the swiryly phasy sound came from on the hats, maybe its just the standard samples i utilised. however, the last thing i want is for it to sound like it was done in fruity (if that makes sense, i want it to sound individual, and not the product of a certain piece of software) so i might change those samples.

the little bit at 1.37 (is that what ya meant) IS intentional, it'll make sense once the guitars are on there!

cheers for istening dude...how did ya spot the tempo btw? did ya work it out or just guess like a pro?

the tempo? well at first i thought maybe i heard my DnB loop in there, and to confirm I used this Sample Calculator www.ucsoft.de/sce.html where you just click on the "count" button and after a few moments you start to zero in on the bpm. then another listen and i realized that isn't my drumloop, so then I realized you musta programmed it yourself??

On swan vesta blues, how did you get that vocal effect, when it comes to laying down the vocals, I'm so uneducated in every aspect of it. Please help me out, I love the effect

nah, i programmed the loop myself jg, im gonna do something with yours though..as soon as i suss out how to import the loop into fruity so i can build other stuff around it

siobud, the vocal effect is three vocal lines, all the same multitracked. the first was natural, no effects, just a little compression. the second used a guitar distortion effect with the treble cranked up slightly, and the third channel has got some kinda delay on it.

from there it was just a case of mixing each track up or down in the mix to get the balence i was looking for.

easy!

actually, now that i think about, the tempo on my loop is 170bpm.

just set the tempo to 170, open a new sampler (Channels > Add One > Sampler), right click on it, and choose Load Sample, then just browse around and find where you put it, I like to keep a copy of each sample in that song's own folder. Now just trigger that sample on the first beat of every other bar (because it's two bars long) and it should loop just fine
