i was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of jobs are available in the recording field and what kind of salary they supply?

Salaries vary A LOT in the audio production biz with experience and local demand, there are many positions from mixers and recording engineers, mastering engineers (what I do personally), producers, all-purpose studio hands (that pull cable, place mics fix cables, etc).

Again, as far as salary, well, that all depends...

Yes, like dB said the salary's can vary from coast to coast. It also depend's on the size of the studio, and how much business they do.

Take a look here www.recordingjobsconnection.com for possible job's in the biz. I am not sure if they have salary's listed or not.

Otherwise do a search for recording job's o n the web and see what come's up.
