mixing metal band

I'm mixing a metal band. Here is my first crack at it it is a song called "The End". I did not do any of the tracking nor did I attend any of the tracking. There was some phase issues with the cymbals that I tried to fix. They want a splendedly heavy sound so I did my best.

The lead vocalist did also have some pitch issues and I tried my best to help him with the mix... The band is planning to redo some of the vocals

What do you guys think?

BTW: I didn't play a single note on this!

everything mixed pretty good together. i think i would have mixed it a little differently but since it sounds how every other radio friendly metal bands mix i guess its good. is it masterd? if its not you should. i think thats what your missing (no offence if you did) is the snare a sample? i can't think of anything else to say so i'll just leave you with that

I guess I would like to see the vox come out in the mix a little bit more in places, needs more compression maybe...and not that this has to do with the mix.

The snare is real...and they like that sound(not my personal favorite either)... The mix is very thick and I'm going to thin some things out with eq.

I did not spend a lot of time mastering...I just put some compression on the mix I had...(The mix is not done yet)

The vocals are super compressed now... I think I need to cut some better holes for them to sit in the mix... then again, there are the pitch issue with the vocals (I suggested to the band again that they redo vocals)
