BR-1600 Insert Effects

When I record instruments dry and want to add in-board effects after-the-fact, I choose an insert effect to apply and then bounce that track (with effect turned on) to an empty track to it records it, then copy that track data back to one of the virtual tracks from the original track number. It takes a while, but doing this gets me where I want to go.

I do it this way because I have not found another way to handle effect inserts on more than one channel at a time. The manual is very vague on whether or not the BR-1600 will support having insert effects on multiple channels simultaneously.

Does anyone if the BR-1600 WILL support multiple insert effects (insert effects on different channels at the same time)? If so, it would save me some substantial time. Any help appreciated.
